Deadpool - the movie

Official poster shows the titular hero Deadpool standing in front of the viewers, with hugging his hands, and donning his traditional black and red suit and mask, and the film's name, credits and billing below him.

Deadpool

funny as anything I've seen recently
this was a surprise as I knew nothing of the comic hero or the Marvel heroes

This was a lot of fun, a Friday night in Courtenay.
The band was superb, and the singer really had the voice down pat

Eddie The Eagle - movie

Edwards michael w.jpg

Eddie the Eagle

~ as seen on NetFlix, the story of a young man's ambition, desire and determination to reach the Olympic Games in Calgary AB 1988 to represent his homeland of England.

What an inspiration he is, despite so many obstacles along the way, least of which was his athletic ability, Eddie manages to draw fans from around the world.

Really a good watch! Trailer

What ever happened to Eddie?

Edmonton Alberta

Edmonton Alberta
~ a visit to Liz's son Chris, wife Jaime, and other sites

This was also a trip using the new airline, New Leaf Travel - Flair Airline, flying from Abbotsford BC to Edmonton AB.
Cost was approximately $100 each way, a real deal!

The West Edmonton Mall (WEM)

I know it's been around awhile, but I'd not been so I had to make a visit.
It was quite the place, everything was there;
hockey rink
water park
amusement park
water sea animal show
mini golf putting greens
Theme streets; Bourbon, Parisian

and of course the stores.

It was enormous, and the place was busy with after Christmas shoppers.

I loved the cold, the crispness of the snow.
The trek we took to the North Saskatchewan River was huge.
Tiring yes, but worth it.
Now anyway, at the time, I wasn't so sure!
